and also language about israel being the united states strongest ally. i haven't read the full amendment. interesting to see if that is back in there. especially knowing the israel language, knowing mitt romney is trying to make this an issue. especially in florida where it could make a difference, why would they do that? then they realized they had to fix it. normally you country your ducks, if you're going to fix something in an open convention, you count your ducks first. that was embarrassing. >> yeah. the acceptance speech last week in tampa, mitt romney did say directly president obama has thrown israel under the bus. that was a very strong accusation. i think we've repaired our connection with dana. dana, tell us what it was like. what did you hear on the floor when he asked for that two-thirds voice vote to be announced? >> well, at the beginning it seemed pretty clear to me that the nos had it. two-thirds did not go through. that is why they asked for it again. and then at the end when the mayor still said it was passed, you heard some boos. i'm

congressman, a nice little bounce for the president of the united states. neil newhouse, though, the romney pollster put out a memo saying don't get too worked up about the latest poing. while some voters will feel a bit of a sugar high from the conventions, the basic structure of the race has not changed significantly. but i assume these numbers are not encouraging right now. tough do some work. what's the strategy? >> well, the strategy to continue to talk about jobs and the economy because, yeah, they did get a little bit of a sugar high an you get a number of days with unfettered access to the immediate why and american people but when you go mono-e-mono and talk about jobs, the economy and the president's record or a lack of a record i think the focus then is who's the best to lead us forward and put america back to work and i think that's clearly mitt romney and paul ryan. >> why didn't romney get a sugar high after the republican convention? >> immediately rolled in to the democratic convention. no excuses. october 3rd and then start to have debates
